KSA - Taibah University Convention Center shines in warm white
Founded in 2003 in the city of Medina, the University of Taibah is a modern and competitive educational institution capable of competing with other Saudi and Arabian structures. Providing equal opportunities to all citizens indistinctively, Taibah University is run according to a high-standard management model as far as academic education, technical R&D organization and financial administration are concerned.
The university General Administration Projects Department has recently approved the study, design and implementation of the main auditorium hall and the contiguous conference rooms, which had to be fitted with a state-of-the-art functional and decorative audio, video and lighting system. With a seating capacity of up to 1653 spectators, the hall has therefore been equipped with an audio, conference and simultaneous translation system, a visual and monitoring system, an auditorium and stage lighting with dimmer control system, a wall and ceiling decorative lighting and a central control system.
GRIVEN authorized distributor for Saudi Arabia, the company KHALDI EST., has been appointed as sole contractor for the entire job by the qualified authorities: “Our study has been able to meet all the specific requirements of the project in terms of electronic technology in the fields of audio and video, projection and architectural perspective” asserts Samer Alkhaldi, CEO of Khaldi Est “GRIVEN lighting fixtures helped us highlight and decorate the ceiling and walls of the main auditorium hall with elegance and reliability.”
Over 1750 metres of LooseLED flexible strips with 50 LEDs/m in 3200K warm white colour temperature have been installed on the false ceiling of the Taibah University main auditorium following its elliptical pattern and along the borders of the decorative wall panels. Using high brightness LEDs, these strips offer very comfortable assembling and easy interconnection techniques allowing a flawless light output.
Available with 20, 33, 40, 50 or 100 LEDs/m, LooseLEDs are flexible strips with either WHITE, RGB or SINGLE COLOUR LEDs for low power consumption decorative applications. On the RGB models, the state of the art electronic colour mixing gives real colour rendering while durability and minimal maintenance are additional benefits that all versions share in common. The WHITE LED strips are available in warm (3200K and 4200K) and cold (5800K) colour temperature and with different power. The MONOCHROME range offers a selection of four standard colours but a wider choice is available upon request, to meet almost any designer's choice. An IP65 outdoor protection sleeve is among the list of optional accessories. A microprocessor-based electronic board with Master-Slave and standalone functions for the RGB colour mixing control is available as an optional, too. Versatility and powerful output make the LooseLED series a discrete surface-mount lighting solution for a host of architectural applications, such as: cove lighting, backlighting for signage letters, accent lighting, concealed lighting, theme parks, theatre and convention halls, as well as any indoor and outdoor decorative concept.
