Finland - LooseLED... on the loose at the Scandic Tampere Station Hotel
There is a lot to see in Tampere, a fascinating city in southern Finland: original Finnish architecture, breathtaking lake sceneries, magnificent glacial ridges, beautiful parks and lush forests close to the city centre. Right in the bustling heart of the town, a brand new hotel that belongs to the renowned Scandic hotel chain was opened on May, 29th 2012. The Scandic Tampere Station Hotel not only has a wonderful location but also offers an array of high quality services that keep up with its category: you can enjoy your work-out in a well equipped gym, relax in the sauna and shop around the clock in the lobby shop. A total of 200 rooms, 5 of which have their own sauna and balcony, a relaxed and stylish bistro, a lobby bar, a lovely summer drinks garden and 3 conference venues along with a private car park as well as wireless internet connection throughout the hotel make this venue a first class choice for tourists and businessmen.
A warm, welcoming atmosphere, rich in colour changing themes and meticulous hints at the typical Finnish outdoor environment, has been created by GRIVEN’s authorized distributor for Finland, the company IDEAFIX OY. Over 500 meters of the LooseLED flexible strips in RGB and warm white colour temperature have been installed in the lobby, lounge and restaurant of the Scandic Station Hotel. Recalling the stylized, matchstick-like trees of the Finnish winter, the architectural features and artistic elements decorating the common parts of the Scandic Hotel have affected the iterative, linear lighting chosen to further enhance the inspired-by-nature style of this hotel. An important element to the design of these spaces has been to create a vertical, recurrent kind of lighting which results to be totally integrated in the existing architectural features of the hotel. Providing unlimited design possibilities, along with ease of installation and consistent performance in manifold lighting designs, LooseLED has surely represented the best solution for this application meant to revive a typical Finnish outdoor environment within a close space.
Available with white, RGB or single colour LEDs for low power consumption decorative applications, LooseLED offers very comfortable assembling and easy interconnection techniques. On the RGB models, the state of the art electronic colour mixing gives real colour rendering while durability and minimal maintenance are additional benefits that all versions share in common. The white LED strips are available in warm and cold colour temperature and with different LED density. The monochrome range offers a selection of four standard colours but a wider choice is available upon request. An IP65 outdoor protection sleeve allows a comfortable outdoor usage. Versatility and powerful output make the LooseLED series a discrete surface-mount lighting solution for a host of architectural applications, such as: cove lighting, backlighting for signage letters, accent lighting, concealed lighting, theme parks, theatre and convention halls, as well as any indoor and outdoor decorative concept.
